Heidelberg iin the south-west of Germany is the home of one of the oldest universities of Germany (Rupprecht-Karls Univerisität), seat of the most performant financial
service provider in Europe and birthplace of the world-wide most frequently used business application software (SAP). I graduated from the first and work for the second with the
third.
I am currently working on the data-warehouse and reporting system of my employer, where I got into contact with multi-dimensional databases and decision support systems of a very dynamic company. Of course you will
not find material on my employer at www.apuuli.de. However, the presentation on info cubes for demographic surveillance systems was mainly inspired from the multi-dimensional data structures of the SAP Business Information Warehouse, which we are using.
