It covers 16 CSPS, one district hospital, and one medical center. The DSS area is part of the Health district. It covers an area of 1,775 km2 with 55,000 people. The population density is at about 31 individuals per square kilometer.
This population is distributed in 41 villages and the city of Nouna, which is a semi-urban center.
